How to Throw the Best Beach party
If you are throwing a beach party , then you need to consider lots of
fun activities, food, drinks, and decorations. You can have the best
beach party of the summer. Even consider what type of fun invitation you
will send to set the mood of the party. When the sun shines bright and
hot, when the surf is crashing against the beach, you want to have a
great time with your friends. Hosting a beach party is an excellent way
to take advantage of the summer fun but not have to worry so much about
having a place to host the party. If you want to throw a summer beach
party then you need to consider several things: invitations,
decorations, attire, activities, food and drinks, and even music.
Invitations for a laid-back beach party need not be too formal. If your
friends use a social networking site, a simple invitation via that
method or even just email will suffice. Or you can get creative and
decorate seashells with the date, tine, and location of the party and
hand-deliver the seashell invitations. Another fun idea is to write the
pertinent information on a deflated beach ball. When the guests receive
the beach ball they will have to inflate it to read the details. They
can then bring the beach ball with them to the party. Beach party
decorations are simple, too. No need for lighting if the party is in the
day because the sun should provide ample lighting. However, if your
party might spill into the night, then light a bonfire or place tiki
torches strategically around the beach. The sandy beach with its natural
shells, surf, and rocks will provide the perfect decorations. However,
you might want to get ample folding chairs or beach towels as places for
the guests to sit.
 Once you’ve invited the guests and thought about
the decorations for your beach party, you might also want to think about
beach party attire. Swimsuits are certainly the staple. Of course, you
and your guests will want to have some sort of cover up for the
swimsuit. For the men, a t-shirt or Hawaiian print shirt would be
perfect. Sandals or flip flops are excellent choices for shoes for both
sexes. The girls can wear a wrap-around swimsuit cover up, a sundress,
or even shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. The purpose of the beach party
is to have fun and be laid back, so the clothing should reflect that.
There are all kinds of fun beach party activities for the party. For
active party-goes, an impromptu game of sand volleyball would be
perfect. Set up a portable net and divide the participants into two
teams. For the laid-back attendees, combing the beach for the best sea
shells would also be perfect. The sand and surf brings out the kid in
all of us, so another excellent beach activity is building sand castles.
If you used the beach balls as invitations, the guests can play
keep-away with the balls. The food for the beach party should be as
laid-back and easy as the rest of the party. If you have a bonfire,
grilling hotdogs and roasting marshmallows over the open flame is the
perfect treat. In the heat of summer, foods that would spoil need to be
avoided. Instead go for fresh fruit like pineapples. For drinks, bottled
water placed in ice chests or tubs filled with ice is in order.
Additionally, iced tea and lemonade are wise choices. For alcoholic
drinks, there are a variety of fruity punches and cocktails to make,
too. One last important item of a beach party to consider is music. A
portable CD player of sort would work perfectly. Pick a variety of
artists and songs that are upbeat and summery. Songs to inspire an
impromptu dance or music with a reggae beat are also perfect. Beach
parties are perfect summer activities. Pick some fun upbeat music to
play, gather great foods and drinks, and have the best beach party. You
can plan some fun activities like volleyball or sand castling building.
